Focus is on developing topics that grab editors, interviewing the best sources for those subjects, writing crisp and stimulating copy and then selling the articles.

Focus is on various ways of making a living as a freelance writer.  Details include how to market yourself and what to charge as well as how to write brochures, press releases and articles through hands-on writing exercises.

Writing Your Life Story
Focus is on utilizing memory triggers to uncover the personal messages and themes of your life -- turning the material of a diary or your memory into an engaging memoir. 

Writing the Non-Fiction Book Proposal Publishers Want to Buy  
Focus is on using the development of your book proposal to tighten up your book.  Exercises enable students to have rough drafts of both by the time the class ends.


Children's After School and Summer Writing Camp Classes
Creative Writing: Writing Without Rules
The class sidesteps the 'how' of writing with exercises and activities that free 8- to 12-year-old students to discover the fun of writing.  Grammar and spelling take a backseat to creative expression.

Creative Writing for Boys
This class utilizes research that reveals specific needs boys in the 8- to 12-year-old range need to have met to encourage and support their writing.  Like in the Writing Without Rules class, Creative Writing for Boys focuses on exercises and activities that free students to discover the fun of writing. Grammar and spelling take a backseat to creative expression.
